Indications
A highly valuable ecbolic to stimulate Uterus and hasten parturition After the parturition also, Mettle vet is useful in the treatment of Retension of Placenta and to induce the involution of uterus. It treats lochiometra and puerperal bleeding. It is useful in the abortion cases as well, as an aid for flushing out lochial discharge.
Administration & Dosage
By I/M, I/V use only.
For Large Animals:
Active Management of third stage of labour: 5 to 10 ml
The drug should be given I.V. slowly following the delivery of the anterior shoulder or at the latest immediately after delivery of the calf
Post Parturition Treatment: 3 to 5 ml daily for three to five days after parturition by I/M
For Small Animals: 0.2 – 0.4 mg (1 – 2 ml)
